Chase & Status Turned The O2 Academy Brixton Into The Coolest House Party!

Chase & Status brought the highly anticipated UK tour to O2’s Brixton Academy last week and it was one for the books. With a slew of hits throughout their extensive catalogue the duo turned the Academy into something akin to the coolest house party and it was great.

From the start high energy was required as opening Big Narstie took the stage to warm up attendees and bring the base like only he could. It was enjoyable to see Narstie on this stage charming the crowd and holding his own before the main acts appeared.

Chase & Status brought the lights, the fire (literally) visuals and the bangers to completely immerse everyone in the building in the experience. They opened with Tribes off of their fourth album of the same name, and moved smoothly through other popular tunes like All Goes Wrong, Know About We, NRG and more. People were jumping, singing their hearts out and when they dived deep into their older records, you could feel things hit fever pitch. At no point were fans left idly waiting for the energy to pick back up, every single person was 100% all in from the very first rumble of bass.

That wasn’t all, after holding it down effortlessly they brought out special guests Kano, Tom Grennan and Section Boyz for their collaborations. You know, just in case you forgot they were musical chameleons.

Overall it was a great night, filled with great vibes, music and now memories. If you have a chance to, I highly recommend going to see the guys on tour before it’s over.
